Julian's 2nd Birthday!

Here's Julian and Buzz, he has barely put Buzz down since he got this and had to be talked into letting big brother look at it for even a few minutes.  When he saw the package for it he started dancing around and yelling "Buzz Lightyear!  Buzz Lightyear!"

Friends and presents!

Niko's friends brought him lots of presents and they all played together really well, Sarah referee'd the unwrapping.

Niko Turns Four

When is everybody getting here?
Here is a good picture of Julian and Grandpa, Niko got Buzz and Woody and Julian thinks they are his.  He has scarcely put them down since Niko unwrapped them.  Its been a test for big brother's patience.

Thank god for the summer weather, Niko has been wanting to play in the water and there is nothing like some high 80s to pull that off.  He also wanted to test an umbrella, and thought I should help.  It was pretty fun.

Spring Time!

Julian is getting big, he'll be two in a little over a month!
He's getting around good, underneath the swing set is one of his favorite places to hang out.
This winter we watched a lot of Toy Story, a Buzz Lightyear spaceship was in order.
Here is buzz and Spidey, the flew to moon and fought Craven the Hunter and the evil emporer Zurg.
They also practiced flying like Superman on the swing set.

Blizzard 2011

So we got a little snow in Kansas, took this video today around noon and again at 4:30.  Weather report says we got 10".   Which is just an absurd amount.  There were 35 mph winds and and the tempature was around 15 all day.   Tomorrow the real tempature is supposed to be around -5.

Julian is dying to get out on the field with Niko and the bigger kids.  Fortunately Happy Feet has some practice boxes that we take him to during Niko's games.  He's getting pretty good!

Snow!

The Boys got to go out and play in the snow.  We actually managed to get them in winter clothes after about an hour of struggle.
Julian was a little overwhelmed but eventually got adventursome and made it out into the yard
Niko loved the atv.  This may be the proudest I've ever seen him.

Christmas 2010

We went to see the big man at Crown Center.  Niko was finally cool calm and collected and managed to ask Santa for Red Mac this year.  Julian didn't trust the old guy at all.

Soccer Game

Realize its been a long time since we put anything up here so here is a vid of Niko playing soccer and scoring his first goal!  Enjoy and I'm going to try and put up some photos from Christmas and the recent snow here soon.

Vacation

Last weekend we had a wonderful time with both sets of grandparents and Uncle John at Big Cedar Lodge. We boated, swam in at least five pools, floated in the lazy river, played mini-golf, ate ice cream, went fishing, went on a horse-drawn wagon ride, roasted marshmallows and heard two cowboy singers. The most memorable part was our cabin, decked out in tribute to Dale Earnhardt, Jr. There were pictures and memorabilia everywhere, and Niko called the cabin his "Race Car Cabinet." As we pulled away, Niko said bye-bye to everything, "Bye Bye Big Cedar. Bye Bye Race Car Cabinet...." We know he enjoyed the trip. We told him we didn't want to leave either, and he couldn't comprehend why we would leave if we didn't want to. Two weeks later, he keeps asking, "you don't want to leave vacation?" Needless to say, he can't wait to go back.

Thank goodness Niko didn't catch anything, despite using his Spong Bob fishing pole.

Julian had a great time as well, possibly having the most fun at the bar listening to the guitar player. He danced and clapped and yelled to the music, attracting the attention of the singer and half the bar with his enthusiam. Luckily we didn't attract the attention of social services by having a baby at the bar!

Happy Birthday Julian and Grandma Humphrey

Happy Birthday to Mom and Julian!  Mom and Julian have the same birthday.  That is two generations in a row where the youngest son was born on the same day as his Grandma.  I was born on the same day as Mom's mom, October 24th, and now Julian was born on May 27th. Lots of love to Grandma Humphrey and have a great time in Alaska.

Dinosaurs!

So at Niko's Birthday some of the boys got on the swing set and said they were Dinosaurs.  This led to an extended screaming session, which led to this vid.
