Since Nikolai is an incredible 7 months old, Colin has been busy teaching him all that he'll need to know to survive in the world as a man. The top picture is Nikolai learning to simultaneously play pool and watch football, while waiting for Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house. My mom transformed their sewing/computer room into an Irish pub-styled pool room. The room turned out great, and I have a feeling that Niko will be building forts under the pool table for many years to come while the grown-ups have a pint. Don't worry, he knows not to scratch the felt!
Here is Nikolai earlier in the month helping us brew beer for the first time. Colin recieved a beer brewing kit from my parents for his birthday in October. He is busy sterilizing the fermenting tub in this photo. We made a Hefenweizen for our first batch, because we agree that it is inappropriate to let a baby drink anything darker than that. Just kidding, don't call the authorities. Right now it is fermenting in the closet . . . we'll let you know how it turns out.

The young Nikolai, while only 7 months old, absconds with the entire female population of his nursery school, for a trip of fun and sun to this years spring break in Florida.
Leaving the girls parents bewildered and in an uproar at this fresh behavior!
The Florida state beach patrol has been alerted, but it always seems to be one step behind of what is becoming one big party caravan of Nikolai groupies.
Authorities embarrassed by their failed attempts to apprehend and stop the the young Nikolai, refuse to comment.
Nikolai's “Wet T-Shirt” photos are spreading through the web like a California wildfire.
A man of future legends comes of age.

I see that all is also well in the education department, a major in billiards, with a double minor in football and beer. I think Colin has choose a program of curricular activities that will prepare you for a very successful future.
When you are finished with Colins basement brew, come over for a visit and we can partake in a couple of real beers. Ein gute würzige Deutsches Doppelbock.

Things are slowly returning back to normal after what I am sure were for many an enjoyable, but hectic holiday season.
Now that things have calmed down and the guest have returned home I have a wish (yes, I saved mine for after Christmas), if time allows, we would love to see the latest Holiday photos from Nikolai and his support team!
